I read about the history of the NPS Logo. The Arrowhead, tree, mountain, and buffalo have been in service since 1951 according to the NPS website. The only thing is what is called the American Buffalo isnt a buffalo at all its a Bison. The scientific name is Bison Bison... the only scientific name that makes sense in my opinion.  I watched this Bison rub all over the sign to the park and the logo. I think that this Bison was getting some extra satisfaction at the rub of being called a Buffalo, when in fact its not a buffalo at all.

Is it a Buffalo or a Bison?
