The Zion-Mount Carmel Highway is a scenic and engineering marvel that winds through the stunning landscapes of Zion National Park in Utah, USA. This highway, part of the larger Zion-Mount Carmel Tunnel complex, offers visitors an unforgettable journey through the diverse geological wonders of the park.

Zion Canyon is the central feature of the park, carved over millions of years by the Virgin River. As you navigate through the canyon, the sheer cliffs on either side can reach up to 2,000 feet in height. The canyon floor is adorned with lush vegetation, including cottonwood trees.

The highway is renowned for its series of switchbacks and hairpin turns that navigate the steep and rugged terrain. The road gracefully maneuvers through the diverse elevations, revealing new perspectives at every turn. The engineering feats of the highway are evident in the way it seamlessly integrates with the natural contours of the landscape.

At the eastern entrance of the tunnel, the highway provides access to the East Entrance Overlook. This vantage point offers sweeping views of the colorful canyons and mesas that define the eastern part of Zion National Park.
